The following items of kit are required by each team for the Challenge Day:-
- Map of the area in a waterproof carrying case – not just the map issued at registration. The map should be of OS 1:25,000 type, shop purchased NOT downloaded and printed.
- Compass
- Whistle
- Survival Bag
- Small First Aid Kit
- Torches x 2
- Wrist Watch
The following items of kit are required by each team member for the Challenge Day:-
- Day Rucksack to carry everything in
- Wet Weather Gear – consisting of waterproof coat with a hood and long waterproof trousers
- Water Bottle 0.5ml min, with screw top
- Spare pair of socks
- Suitable walking trousers – not jeans or shorts
- Sun tan lotion
- Sun hat
- Walking boots or stout shoes – not trainers or converse type shoes
- Troop/Unit Neckerchief correctly worn
